Tentoraz trochu netradične – najprv si môžeme prečítať plnú verziu recenzie v angličtine a potom stručný súhrn v slovenčine pre tých, ktorí anglicky nehovoria.
Taktiež by som rada poďakovala autorke za e-book na zrecenzovanie a prosím, ospravedlňte všetky chyby. / I’d also like to thank the author for e-book for review and please, excuse all mistakes.

Anotácia: Lizzie Davenport has been reincarnated from Regency Era, England... but she doesn't know it yet.
Then Drew Carmichael transfers into Lizzie's high school at the beginning of the year, and she feels a connection to him, almost like she knows him. She can't stop thinking about him, but whenever she tries talking with him about the mysteries behind her feelings, he makes it clear that he wants nothing to do with her. Reaching him is even more difficult because she has a boyfriend, Jeremy, who has started to become full of himself after being elected co-captain of the varsity soccer team, and her flirtatious best friend Chelsea starts dating Drew soon after his arrival. So why can't she get him out of her mind?
Even though Lizzie knows she should let go of her fascination with Drew, fighting fate isn't going to be easy.
Michelle’s writing style is really nice and enjoyable; this book is easy and quite fast to read - I liked it. It’s perfect, especially if you just want to relax. But truth be told, it’s mostly a love story too. Well written and one with interesting background, that’s for sure, but still a love story. So, if you’re looking for something thrilling, dark and action-packed, Remembrance probably isn’t the best choice.
I already mentioned the idea. I don’t believe in reincarnation, but it proved to be refreshing and unseen (well, not completely, but I haven’t seen that much books about reincarnation… or am I just blind?). Simplified – when you get tired from the usual stuff, go for it.
Characters in this book were neither its strong point, nor weak. I didn’t grow to love them, but they did seem realistic enough and they weren’t annoying. Okay, sometimes they made stupid decisions and it was annoying, but not all the time, not even enough times, that it’d actually matter.
Those, who saw my star rating may already be wondering, what the biggest BUT is. Well, it’s predictability. You could tell where it was all going, guess some things in advance, plus there were some clichés as well. Also, the plot was quite slow.
Therefore, I cannot possibly give this book better star rating; I’ve read better ones. It’s Michelle’s first book though and it’s promising enough – I’d really like to read next book in the trilogy.
It’s up to you whether you decide to read Remembrance or not, but if it seem at least a bit likeable to you, you totally should. ;)
Charaktery som si neobľúbila, no ani ma veľmi neotravovali.
